Bison Head
Photographed in Yellowstone N.P., this
Bison was shot with a 400 mm. lens. In any
other situation I would say this was too
close, but he was about 100 feet away,
downhill, and I was standing at the bumber
of my car - a quick get-a-way. DO NOT be
tempted to get close to bison. Both Bison
and Moose suffer from the appearance of
dumb and slow animals, while they actually
kill and wound several people a year -
people who get too close. Always give wild
animals plenty of room.
