This group of ferns was photographed in
the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
Since I got a bad sunburn the previous
day, I opted to nap, eat, and read in the
shade during the heat of the day. Because
you can only eat so much, and the flies
weren't letting me sleep or read, I opted
to find any shots I could in the shade.
I'm glad I did since I relearned an old
lesson: there are always good images to
capture if you look hard enough.
