Sea Anemone.
A most unusual creature is the Anemone:
each arm is filled with nematocysts
(poisonous filaments that are shot into
almost anything it touches); and many
species, like this one, are able to live
in the inter-tidal zone (where the
ever-changing tide leaves animals either
high and dry or underwater, with huge
ranges of both salinity and water
temperature.)
